*Try a heating pad. It will help a lot. When you sit, sit with you feet proped up or stretch out on the couch. You need to take the pressure off the back.

<a href="http://www.teetorretherapeutics.com">Dallas massage</a>

Pregnancy is never a good thing for ones body. You are experiencing the lower back pain for a variety of reasons. First is because of the added strain and overload to you lower abdominal muscles. When you stand, sit, walk try to be aware at all times of pulling IN these muscles. I know it's difficult but if you can it will relieve the strain on the lower back as well. Also you may be experiencing the pain cause the babe is lying low in your pelvic girdle and putting pressure on your lower back. Try kneeling on your bed, then lying your head down so your butt is in the air, if not comfortable get up immediately. If ok keep the position for 10 minutes, and try to do 4 times a day.
Icing the lower back can also help. 20 minutes at a time, 4 times a day.
Place a pillow between your legs if you sleep on your side, and under your knees if on your back.
Good luck!

I only hope you take some of these answers with a grain of salt.
In the first place you have to find out what's wrong. The doctor would order tests as one suggested. If these show a normal pattern then he would go further and order MRI's and maybe after that or, instead, CAT's scans with dye.
He would then probably send you to a orthopedic surgeon for further analysis. You would be give an alternative of choices after finding out what's wrong but, you have to start somewhere.

Rushing into a chiropractors office or, an acupuncturist is jumping ahead of the problem and, skipping some much needed information and procedures.

You can try massage or acupuncture. but, you have to diagnose what is the reason for pain. how long do you have the pain? o.k. You may have a trigger points (nodules or knot) in your shoulder. your back pain may be caused by, muscle strain, or ligament sprain, or facet joint lock, or spondylosis, or tendinitis, or intervertebral disc prolapse, or abnormal posture, and so on. Acupuncture or massage will relieve your pain only if it is due to the muscle problem. otherwise, it will be the temporary relief. if it is a muscle problem, hot pack application, massage, stretching exercises, strengthening exercises, IFT or TENS or WAX therapy and acupuncture will relieve you. if it may due to other causes, you have to take the specific proper treatment. Consult a good physiotherapist and get well soon.

Sounds like you may be having muscle spasms, and moving boxes around probably inflamed it some. I would take some Ibuprofen for the inflammation, a heating pad or rice sock to loosen the muscles and help them relax. To make a rice sock, get a tube sock, fill with 3cups rice, nuke for 2-3 minutes, get a washcloth to put between you and the sock, lay back and relax, the deep moist heat will relax you and the pain will fade away. Sitting in a hot tub will work also. Good luck.

Are you overweight? This is the first thing that comes to mind. If your body is carrying extra weight, there is more strain on your back. So if you are, try exercising regularly and eating a healthier diet. Eat 9-12 servings of fruits and vegetables a day and eliminate processed foods from your diet. No junk food, no soda. You will likely notice a big improvement.

I would also recommend exercising and doing stretches regularly. It would be a good idea to stretch before you get out of bed each morning, particularly if you are over 40. That can really help you strengthen your muscles and avoid fatigue.

Good luck!

I agree that a good massage therapist would probabaly do you good. And since money is an issue you might convince someone you know to do it for you. Have your friend rub the area that hurts, don't let them rub it too hard and applying heat before and after.

I have had both accupuncture and massage several times and both have worked really really well for me. Keep in mind that if you get accupuncture, you're body will feel sore for a day or two just as if you have had a massage but then afterwards it's like a miracle. Make sure you drink plenty of water. I personally would do the accupuncture first.

what a doctor normally does is to run some tests... the doctor may subject you to urinalysis to see if there is something wrong with your kidneys and other parts inside, x-ray of the spine, lumbar area, etc..., if these will not help her/him diagnose your trouble, the doctor may ask you to have a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) of your back area (whew! expensive)... S/he may also ask you to undergo physical theraphy. S/He may also advise you to take medications like strong pain relievers like tramadol or Arcoxia and the like... (you may need a prescription for these pain relievers..) S/He may also require you to were sacro-lumbar support or make you wear back brace or worst, may you undergo operation (as a last resort... I hope this is not one of the options s/he will offer...)

You have a case of muscle fatigue. If there is one other person who can assist, have the muscles in your neck (not the nape) down to those on shoulders and rhomboideus major (those large muscles at your upper back) gently kneaded to stretch them. A hot compress would also help ease the pain and aid in the muscle relaxation. As much as possible, avoid painkillers particularly those with ibuprofen (Advil has ibuprofen) as there are potential side effects. The objective is to relax those cramped muscles. If there is a pool near by, take a dip and perform slow butterfly strokes to help the muscles stretch and relax. The pain is temporary. I just wonder why you are not complaining of muscle pain in the inner sides of the legs as well; maybe you didn't stretch them them enough.
